My studies are focused on gaining further insight into the bilayer-regulated mechanism and teasing apart the specific and general mechanism of membrane with the aim of elucidating the role of cell membrane in the membrane protein regulation by lipophilic drugs and thereby provide insight into the mechanism/s underlying multi- and off-target effects of lipophilic drugs.

In my role as the Molecular Biophysics Core director I supports users in broad range of instruments and tools to express and functionally and biophysically characterize proteins, lipid/protein, lipid and other assemblies. The core serves the research community in four key ways:

· training to empower independent equipment use and data interpretation

· experimental design

· assisted use in when core staff expertise is required

· accessory equipment to support the community needs during routine lab operation interruptions
